European giants looking at Spurs wonderkid

Top European clubs are casting admiring glances towards Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Marcus Edwards, according to Sport Bild.

The 17-year-old largely impressed in pre-season and manager Mauricio Pochettino recently admitted the youngster reminded him of none other than Lionel Messi.

Edwards was handed his first team debut in the EFL Cup clash against Gillingham and chances are he will earn at least few more senior appearances this term.

Even though he has yet to feature for Spurs in the Premier League, the talented footballer has managed to catch the eye of clubs like Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

Edwards signed a professional contract with Tottenham until June 2018 last month, but Spurs officials should consider extending his deal given the heavy interest in his services.

Tottenham resume their Premier League campaign with the game against Middlesbrough and they can be backed at 11/10 to win at Riverside.
