European giants to battle for Neymar; Borussia Dortmund chasing Croatian hotshot

European giants to battle for Neymar

A number of European giants including Juventus, Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United had their scouts watch Santos striker Neymar as Brazil and Scotland squared off at the Emirates.

Brazilian hotshot Neymar impressed the visiting scouts as he scored both goals for Mano Menezes’ side and he is likely to be a subject of a real bidding war in the summer.

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici was present, confirming that the Bianconeri were interested in the 19-year-old.

The Old Lady had previously had their scouts watch Neymar at the Under-20 South American Championship in Peru.

Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United also had their representatives at the Emirates, just like few other European clubs.

Chelsea came really close to signing the Brazilian prospect in January and they are likely to reignite their interest at the end of the season, although the Blues will face a stiff competition from Juventus, Barcelona and Manchester United.

Santos are holding out for €30 million and considering the heavy interest in the player’s services, the Brazilian club are likely to get what they are asking for.

The 19-year-old striker is seen as one of the biggest prospects in world football and following some impressive performances at an international stage, he definitely looks ready to make the step up in his career.

Borussia Dortmund chasing Croatian hotshot

Borussia Dortmund have shown interest in Club Brugges midfielder Ivan Perisic, according to Bild.

The Bundesliga outfit have already secured Champions League football next term, which means they can expect an increase in revenue of more than €20 million.

The club chiefs are now determined to reinforce the squad in the summer as they want the team to have another successful season and they have set their sights on Club Brugge attacking midfielder Ivan Perisic.

The 22-year-old can play on the left side of midfield and he has been in impressive form this season, scoring 16 goals and setting up 8 more in 27 league games.

Borussia Dortmund have watched the Croat on several occasions this season and they are reportedly preparing a summer bid for the Club Brugge hotshot.

Perisic is under contract at Club Brugge until June 2015 and it is thought he would cost around €6 million.

Jurgen Klopp sees Perisic as a great complement to German international Kevin Grosskreutz on the left side of midfield.
The Croat has quickly become a key player for Club Brugge upon his arrival from Sochaux and a switch to Borussia Dortmund would be a logical step in his career.

Napoli closing in on Shakhtar star

Napoli have expressed desire to sign Shakhtar midfielder Fernandinho, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

Having almost secured Champions League football, the Partenopei are looking to reinforce the squad in the summer and have already identified certain targets.

Coach Walter Mazzarri is reportedly keen on Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fernandinho as he looks for midfield reinforcements.

The Brazilian have only recently returned into action after missing the big part of the season through knee injury, but that didn’t stop Napoli from showing interest in his services.

Fernandinho’s contract with Shakhtar is set to expire in June 2012 and the Ukrainians are likely to sell the midfielder in the summer so as the avoid losing him for free when his contract expires.

Shakhtar want €6 million for the Brazilian, which shouldn’t be a problem for Napoli and the Partenopei are looking to close the deal as soon as possible.

Fernandinho has a wealth of Champions League experience, having featured in the top European competition for five years in a row with Shakhtar, which would make him a perfect addition to Walter Mazzarri’s squad.
