Spanish newspaper IDEAL is reporting that a number of top European sides are keeping close tabs on Almeria youngster Ivan Barbero.
The youngster has impressed playing for the club’s youth sides, bagging 15 goals this season, and his excellent showings clearly did not go unnoticed.
The likes of Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Villarreal and Valencia are all closely monitoring his performances, but Barbero has plenty of suitors abroad as well.
Monaco and Benfica are the two foreign clubs that have shown interest in recruiting the 18-year-old footballer who is predicted a bright future in the game.
Born to a French mother, the youngster has yet to decide whether he will represent Spain or France on international stage and he is expected to soon receive a call-up to their Under-19 sides.
It would appear as though Barbero could be leaving UD Almeria before making his senior debut, and it just remains to be seen whether he will stay in Spain or move abroad.
