La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that a number of Europe’s top sides are showing interest in Parma midfielder Jose Mauri.
The 18-year-old footballer has probably been the only shining light in an otherwise hugely disappointing campaign for the Ennio Tardini outfit.
His impressive displays in Italian Serie A did not go unnoticed, seeing as the likes of Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid are all believed to be keen.
The youngster’s agent admits he has been contacted by quite a few top sides over the last few weeks, but insists no agreement has been reached just yet.
“Several top Italian and foreign clubs are on his trail and have shown an interest in him,” agent Dino Zampacorta told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“He is under contract until 30 June 2016, but for our part, we have not closed any agreement with other clubs, not even a verbal agreement.”
Jose Mauri was handed a first team debut in January 2014, but it was at the beginning of the current season that he started showing what he was capable of.
The midfielder went on to make 28 league outings this season, scoring 2 goals in the process, with the winner against champions Juventus the highlight of his career so far.
