A number of top European clubs are reportedly interested in Angers forward Nicolas Pepe, L’Equipe can reveal.
The Ivorian footballer has impressed since returning from a loan spell at Orleans, and has so far scored 2 goals in his maiden Ligue 1 campaign.
His impressive showings in France’s top flight did not go unnoticed as domestic and foreign clubs have been casting admiring glances his way.
Angers have reportedly rejected an offer worth around €10 million for his services, but they are bracing themselves for new proposals.
Lyon, Saint Etienne, Monaco and Lille are some of the Ligue 1 sides showing interest in Pepe, whereas AS Roma, Juventus and Newcastle United are keen as well.
Nicolas Pepe is not the only Angers footballer in high demand, considering that Belgian giants Club Brugge are keen on forward Karl Toko Ekambi.
