Manchester United and Inter Milan are among clubs showing interest in Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho, reports A Bola.
The same source has suggested that both sides had scouts present as the Lions defeated Gil Vicente 2-0 at the weekend.
And while Manchester United were the first high-profile club to express their interest in the talented footballer, the presence of Inter Milan scouts has come as a surprise.
The 21-year-old had come through the youth ranks at Sporting, but he had to prove his worth during loan spells with Fatima and Cercle Brugge before finally returning to Estadio Jose Alvalade this summer.
Carvalho immediately commanded a starting berth in Leonardo Jardim’s side, starting 12 Primeira Liga matches and scoring 2 goals.
The player, who recently earned his first Portugal cap, has helped the Portuguese giants climb to the top of the standings, with Lions 11/4 to stay there come end of the season.
