Serie A has got Gianluigi Donnarumma, but French Ligue 1 has its own teenage goalkeeping sensation in Toulouse shot stopper Alban Lafont.
The 17-year-old France international was given his first-team debut at pretty much the same time when AC Milan’s hotshot Donnarumma got his own in 2015, making Alban Lafont the youngest ever custodian in Ligue 1.
It did not take too long for the talented keeper to get on the radar of Europe’s top clubs with Arsenal and Juventus believed to be leading the chase for Toulouse starlet, alongside Premier League side Watford and Portugal giants FC Porto.
According to French publication L’Equipe, all of the aforementioned sides have sent their emissaries to watch the young star in action in action ahead of the January transfer window, when Alban Lafont is expected to be a subject to lucrative offers Europe-wide.
Lafont’s club Toulouse are prepared to offer him a contract extension and an improved deal in order to guard off heavy interest for the boy.
Alban Lafont’s current deal expires in 2020.
