(GSM) – Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has put pen to paper on a new four-year deal with Manchester United. The Northern Ireland international has enjoyed a good season after replacing the injured Rio Ferdinand on many occasions this season.
The 22-year-old is expected to be a major figure at United in the future years.
“Jonny has signed a new deal,” confirmed Ferguson.
“We have been working on it for a few months now and I am happy that he has signed it.
“Jonny Evans has played a lot of football this year.
“For a centre-half at 22 years of age to play so many games and show the quality he has, is tremendous.”
