Italian champions Juventus are looking at Sevilla star Ever Banega, according to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport.
It is no secret that the Bianconeri plan to recruit a high-quality central midfielder in January, with Ilkay Gundogan reportedly their primary target.
However, Sevilla’s Ever Banega is another player on their hit-list, with the Argentine still pondering whether to extend his contract that expires at the end of the season.
And while Juventus have become genuine specialists for signing world-class footballers on a free transfer, coach Max Allegri needs the Argentine as soon as possible and will instruct general manager Beppe Marotta to try and wrap up the deal in January.
Ever Banega successfully kick-started his career at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, but it appears he is having second thoughts about extending his stay with los Rojiblancos.
Europe’s top clubs have taken notice of his impressive displays in La Liga and Champions League, and a January exit may be on the cards.
