Everton 11/10 to beat Fulham and over 1.5 goals in Saturday’s Premier League matchup

Competition: Premier League

Market: Everton win and over 1.5 goals

Odds: 11/10 @ Bet 365

Still with one eye on securing European football this season, a resurgent Everton will travel to Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the already relegated hosts, in what quickly became a disastrous return to the Premier League for Fulham, Scott Parker’s side have already secured their own fate. Shipping four away at Watford last week and confirming an immediate return to the Championship, the Cottagers are enduring a nine-match losing run and their major problem this year has been their continued defensive issues. Already conceding a staggering 76 goals this season, no team across any of England’s footballing tiers holds a worse defensive record than Fulham. Slumping to a 3-0 loss when they last faced Everton back in September, Saturday could prove to be another extremely tough test for the hosts.

As for the visitors, while Fulham might be enduring a woeful end to the campaign, the same cannot be said for a revitalized Everton side. Climbing back into the top half of the Premier League table and still desperate to bring Europa League football to Goodison, the Blues are coming off the back of a very impressive 1-0 win over Arsenal last weekend. Now enjoying a three-match winning run, a run that also saw them take three points off Chelsea last month, Marco Silva will be growing more impressed by his sides defensive resolve. Everton have recorded three clean sheets on the bounce for the first time this season and have recorded clean sheets in five of their last six outings.
