fooball-betting-tips-newsEverton climbed to fourth position in the standings for the first time after quite a while thanks to the hard-fought victory over Southampton, and no doubt the Toffees are hoping to remain there come end of the season.

Roberto Martinez has so far done brilliantly to get the maximum out of his side and the Goodison Park outfit do appear to be genuine top 4 contenders.

The future of star defender Leighton Baines remains in doubt as Manchester United are set to return for the England full-back, but the Spanish manager hopes team’s impressive run of results will persuade the player not to move clubs at least until the end of the season.

Having returned to winning ways following the unexpected setback against Sunderland, Everton are priced at 4/1 to achieve a top 4 finish.

The Toffees currently hold a one-point lead over arch rivals Liverpool, but games against Stoke, Norwich and West Brom could be a good opportunity to further increase the advantage before they face the Reds at Anfield on 28th January.

The return of Leighton Baines from injury has certainly been a big boost for the club, while everybody was also delighted to see star striker Romelu Lukaku end his goal drought.

And with the likes of Ross Barkley and Seamus Coleman continuing to impress, the future definitely looks bright for the Toffees, with Antolin Alcaraz making a timely return to cover for the absence of captain Phil Jagielka.
