Everton look to have turned a corner after picking up a 1-1 draw against Manchester City in the Premier League. The Toffees scored a late equaliser in their FA Cup clash against West Ham recently, which seems to have given them confidence to amend their poor domestic form.

Manager Roberto Martinez found himself under pressure following a poor start to the season, but they are showing glimpses that their second-half to the campaign could be much-improved. They may spend in the January transfer window to strengthen their squad for what promises to be a very testing period, but certainly have the makings of a team that can rise up the table again.

Everton have started seasons slowly in the past, but after last campaign expectations have been risen a considerable amount. So Martinez cannot afford any more slip-ups as the supporters’ patience will grow thin.

But Betfair are giving odds of 8/11 for the Toffees to finish the season in the top-10 following their draw against Manchester City, which could be the turning point they needed to kickstart their campaign.
