Everton ace Arteta big fan of United’s Scholes

(GSM) – Manchester United legend Paul Scholes will face one of his admirers this weekend when the Mancunians face Everton.

Everton’s Spanish midfielder Mikel Arteta admits he’s a big fan of Scholes ever since he saw him play when he was a younger player.

“He is just brilliant,” Arteta told evertontv. “When I used to watch him when I was a younger player I always admired him a lot.

“He has all the qualities you want from a midfielder. He gets forward and scores goals, his passing is unbelievable and he is also a really humble man away from the pitch. He has been absolutely magnificent for Manchester United.

“Scholes is someone you can learn from,” Arteta added. “He makes it very difficult for you on the pitch but you always want to play against the best to see where you are and also to challenge yourself.”
