Everton and Lyon are locked in the battle for Paris Saint-Germain defender Clement Chantome, L’Equipe has revealed.
The long-serving midfielder has already revealed that he wants to leave the Saints in search of first team football, but the problem is there have been no concrete offers for his services.
Nevertheless, L’Equipe understands that Lyon and Everton are keeping close tabs on the 25-year-old footballer, and could make their interest concrete in the coming days.
Clement Chantome is a product of PSG youth academy, but he has never quite managed to establish himself as a first team regular at Parc des Princes.
The former France international has amassed a total of 143 Ligue 1 appearances for the French giants, scoring 5 goals in the process.
Chantome was an important member of the squad that won the club their first league title after 19 years last term, while also reaching Champions League quarter-finals.
