El Mundo Deportivo is reporting that Everton are hoping to recruit talented forward Cristian Tello from Barcelona.
The 22-year-old is reportedly looking to leave Camp Nou in search of regular first team football and he should have no shortage of offers this summer.
And while Tottenham, Liverpool, Porto and some La Liga clubs are keen, the latest reports suggest Everton have joined the race as well.
The Toffees boss Roberto Martinez believes Tello would be a great addition to the side at Goodison Park and he plans to open talks with Barcelona officials in the coming days.
With the Catalans very satisfied with how the Spanish coach used Gerard Deulofeu last season, chances are they will be interested in sending Tello to Merseyside as well, especially if they opt to let him leave on loan.
The 22-year-old has made a total of 57 La Liga appearances since he was promoted to the first teams set-up, scoring 11 goals.
