Everton are closing in on the signing of Stoke City forward Marko Arnautovic, according to the Metro.
The Austria international has just one year remaining on his current Stoke deal and the Potters are ready to cash in with the Toffee’s leading the race to secure his services.
New Everton manager Ronald Koeman is keen to strengthen his front line and has identified Arnautovic as his top target.
The twenty-seven year old moved to the Britannia Stadium from Werder Bremen in the summer of 2013 and has since racked up one hundred and ten appearances in all competitions, scoring nineteen goals.
He has also played for Dutch side FC Twente where he began his career while he has also had a loan spell with Serie A giants Inter Milan.
He has been capped fifty-five times for his country with the last three of those outings coming at this summer’s European Championships.
