Everton are reportedly closing in on the signing of Portuguese youngster Joao Silva for £650,000.
The Daily Mail reports that Silva’s club Desportivo das Aves held talks with Everton officials last week.
Aves president Joao Freitas told the Daily Mail: “I was in England for a couple of days to find out about a concrete offer.
“We have great confidence in the player’s quality and potential. There are several offers from English clubs. Nothing has been decided yet.”
Silva said: “I didn’t expect things to happen so quickly. I’ve had chances and I’m very happy with what I’ve done.
“If I go for 700,000 euros, like they say, it would be good income for the club and I’d be happy about it.”
