According to The Athletic, Everton could sell Bernard in the January transfer window. It has been reported that the Premier League club could make the winger available for transfer next month, along with with defender Matty Pennington, midfielder Muhamed Besic and winger Yannick Bolasie.
AS Roma reportedly wanted to sign the 28-year-old winger from Everton on summer transfer deadline day in October, but the Toffees decided not to sell him. However, it seems that the Merseyside club have now changed their mind.
Bernard has been on the books of Everton since the summer of 2018 when he joined on a free transfer after leaving Shakhtar Donetsk. According to WhoScored, the Brazil international winger made 15 starts and 12 substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Toffees last season, scoring three goals and providing two assists in the process. So far this campaign, the 28-year-old has made one start and three substitute appearances in the league for the Merseyside club, scoring one goal in the process, according to WhoScored.
