Everton are interested in signing Harry Winks or Dele Alli from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window, according to The Mirror. It has been reported that Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti is an admirer of both the England international midfielders, and that the Toffees will try to see if they can get one of them when the transfer window opens next month.
Both Alli and Winks are stablished Premier League midfielders, but they have struggled for playing time under head coach Jose Mourinho so far this season. While Alli has played 67 minutes in the Premier League and 164 minutes in the Europa League, Winks has played 257 minutes in the league and 418 minutes in the Europa League, according to WhoScored.
With England to play at the European Championship next summer, both Winks and Alli will hope to play regular first-team football in the coming months to ascertain their place in manger Gareth Southgate’s squad.
