Everton eyeing Adnan Januzaj; Matri set for Juventus return

hot-transfer-newsEverton eyeing Adnan Januzaj

Premier League outfit Everton are considering a late move on Manchester United youngster Adnan Januzaj, Manchester Evening News can reveal.

The Toffees are in desperate need of reinforcements as they hope to save their season and the Belgium international is one of the first names on Roberto Martinez’s hist-list.

The Spaniard will attempt to recruit the 19-year-old on loan until the end of the season, although it remains to be seen whether Louis van Gaal will be prepared to let Januzaj leave.

The Dutch manager is believed to have already rejected an offer from PSG, in spite of the fact that the talented winger hasn’t featured much at Old Trafford of late.

Januzaj made a total of 12 Premier League appearances this season, starting five of those games, but he has yet to open his account.

He should be in the starting line-up when the Red Devils host Cambridge United tomorrow, with home win paying 1/12.

Matri set for Juventus return

AC Milan striker Alessandro Matri will be joining Juventus on transfer deadline day, according to various reports.

The Bianconeri have just confirmed that Sebastian Giovinco will be moving to Toronto FC this winter, with coach Max Allegri in turn revealing the Old Lady would sign one of Alessandro Matri or Dani Osvaldo.

Sky Italia and Sport Mediaset have since learned that Juventus have all but wrapped up a loan deal for Alessandro Matri, with Genoa chairman Enrico Preziosi confirming the reports.

“The only active trail is the one that leads to Matri joining Juventus and Borriello to Genoa,” Preziosi told Radio Anch’io Sport. “Everything is already done. I don’t think we’ll do anything more.

Alessandro Matri is currently on loan at Genoa, where he has scored 7 goals in 16 appearances this season, but his spell at Luigi Ferraris will be cut short ahead of a move to Turin.

The 30-year-old enjoyed some success during his first stint with Juventus, netting 27 times in 69 Serie A outings.

Wigan flop in talks over MLS switch

French daily newspaper L’Equipe has learned that Wigan Athletic striker Andy Delort is on the radar of Philadelphia Union.

The MLS side are actively searching for a quality forward and they reportedly hope to lure the 23-year-old to the United States.

Delort’s former club Tours is also interested in the player who is almost certain to quit the Latics this winter.

Seeing as Major League Soccer is not regulated by FIFA, there would be no obstacles to the forward playing for a third club this season.

Andy Delort only joined Wigan last summer, following a thoroughly impressive season with Tours, but he has largely struggled since moving to England.

The former Atletico Madrid target made a total of 11 Championship appearances for the Latics, but failed to get on the scoresheet.
