Everton eyeing Hazard move

Everton are lining up a loan move for Chelsea midfielder Thorgan Hazard, according to the Metro.

The 21 year old younger brother of Blues Player of the Year Eden has spent the past two seasons on loan with Belgian Pro League side Zulte-Waregem, where he finished the regular campaign as top scorer with 14 goals in 38 appearances leading him to be named the division’s Player of the Year.

He is highly regarded at Stamford Bridge, though with competition for places rife, another temporary move away from the club may benefit all parties.

The former Lens man was named on the standby list for Marc Wilmots squad for this summer’s World Cup finals, while no fewer than twelve Premier League players have been selected in the initial 23-man party.

Belgium have been installed as fifth favourites behind Brazil, Argentina, Spain and Germany to win the tournament by the bookmakers at a price of 18/1.
