French daily newspaper L’Equipe understands that Everton are readying summer bid for Montpellier midfielder Benjamin Stambouli.
Seeing as how they continue to operate on a tight budget, the Toffees are looking for bargain signings and the French footballer certainly fits the bill.
The 23-year-old has a contract until June 2015 with la Paillade and club chairman Louis Nicollin has revealed he would be sold in the summer transfer window.
A move to English Premier League is likely to appeal to Stambouli, who is also on the radar of Newcastle.
Benjamin Stambouli has long ago nailed down a regular starting berth at Montpellier and has so far made a total of 105 league appearances for the club, scoring 3 goals in the process.
La Paillade face Lorient away next weekend hoping to make amends for the home defeat to Marseille and they have been priced at 9/4 to claim maximum points.
