Everton go after Pepe?

According to reports in England, Everton are set to join Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the race to sign Nicolas Pepe. The Lille forward has been turning heads for quite some time now, and with five goals in his first eight league games this season, it’s already evident to see that he’s one step ahead of Ligue 1 – even at this early stage.

The Ivory Coast star has a lot of admirers and for good reason, with the Toffees showing some ‘guts’ in a lot of ways by registering their interest. It seems incredibly likely that Pepe will likely move somewhere bigger, but this is the kind of ambition that Everton need to be showing if they want to move to the next level. Now, the next step is to produce the kind of quality on the pitch that would tempt a player of Nicolas’ potential to sign with the Merseyside club.
