Everton hope to close for Moutinho

According to the British tabloid the Daily Mail, Everton manager David Moyes is considering making an offer for Portoguese Joao Moutinho.

The manager was keen to bring the Portugal international midfielder, who has won 19 caps to date, to Merseyside last summer, but was unable to meet his £18 million valuation.

It is claimed that the 22-year-old has suggested that his current employers, Sporting Clube de Portugal, might be willing to let him leave Lisbon on loan during this transfer window.
