Everton hoping to sign David Beckham

Everton boss David Moyes admits he would welcome the chance to sign David Beckham on loan from LA Galaxy.

The Everton manager has inquired about the possibility of brining Landon Donovan on another loan deal, but at the same time revealed he was also interested in signing David Beckham.

“I hope that if David wanted to come, he would pick up the phone and call me,” said Moyes.

“I worked with David at Preston and if he wanted to come back to the Premier League, he would only need to phone me or Phil Neville.

”If he wanted to come to Everton, we would be here for him. If he said he would like to come, I would have to go to the chairman and ask if we could do it. I’d ask if we could make it work by selling enough shirts.”
