Everton interested in Barcelona forward Memphis Depay

Everton are interested in signing Memphis Depay from Barcelona in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Frank Lampard’s side are among three clubs in the Premier League who are keen on signing the former Manchester United forward at the end of the season.

Depay joined Barcelona in the summer of 2021 on a free transfer after leaving French club Lyon. The 28-year-old Netherlands international forward has made 15 starts and six substitute appearances in La Liga for Barca so far this season, scoring 10 goals and providing two assists in the process.

Barcelona are second in the La Liga table at the moment with 57 point from 29 matches, as many as 12 points behind leaders and bitter rivals Real Madrid, who have played 30 games. Meanwhile, Everton currently find themselves 17th in the Premier League table with 25 points for 29 matches, a point above the bottom three.
