Everton interested in Nuno

According to a recent report from AS, Everton could be interested in appointing Nuno Espirito Santo as a replacement for the outgoing Carlo Ancelotti.

It served as a huge surprise yesterday when Ancelotti, who appeared to be committed to the project with the Toffees, made the decision to return to Real Madrid.

Everton fans were pretty stunned by what they considered to be an underhanded move, but the attention quickly turned towards what the future could hold for the club.

Nuno Espirito Santo recently left his position as Wolves manager after a disappointing campaign at Molineux, although in the last few days, he’s been in talks with Crystal Palace over replacing Roy Hodgson.

Whether or not this Everton interest could be enough to turn his head remains to be seen, but the most interesting part of this is that he clearly wants to stay in England – which will come as a surprise to some who thought a return to Portugal was imminent.
