Everton interested in Smalling

According to a recent report from Sky Italy, Everton have asked for more information on the status of Roma defender Chris Smalling.

The former Manchester United man was initially out on loan with the Italian club before they made it a permanent signing, and now, Everton are ready to try and bring him back to the Premier League.

The Toffees had a tough end to the campaign and are still on the hunt for a new manager, but in the midst of all that, they’re still feeling optimistic about what they can achieve in the transfer window.

Smalling still seems to be enjoying life in Serie A but if he’s given the chance to try and become a real force in the English game once again, how could he say no?

Everton are a team hoping to make a push for the top six and bringing in someone like Smalling would prove that.
