Everton are interested in signing Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal in the January transfer window, according to Football Insider. The report has claimed that the Premier League club have sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old Senegalese in action and have been impressed by him.
Villarreal do not want to sell Jackson in the January transfer window, but the youngster has a release clause of £29 million in his contract. So, if Everton decide to trigger it, then they will be able to bring the youngster to Goodison Park in the middle of the season, if he wants to.
Jackson made five starts and one substitute appearance in La Liga for Villarreal so far this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process. The Senegalese star has also played twice in the UEFA Europa Conference League for the Yellow Submarine so far this campaign.
