Everton join chase for Djordjevic

Everton have emerged as the latest high-profile club to have shown interest in Nantes striker Filip Djordjevic.

The Serbian forward has caught the eye of Europe’s top clubs with his impressive displays in French Ligue 1 and he is widely tipped to leave his current employers for greener pastures.

And while Fiorentina and Lazio are believed to be keen, Daily Mail has suggested that Everton have joined the race as well.

With Romelu Lukaku unlikely to remain at Goodison Park after his loan deal ends, the Toffees are lining up a move for the Nantes star.

However, even with the player’s contract expiring at the end of the campaign, he has virtually ruled out a January exit.

Filip Djordjevic exploded onto the big stage last term, when he notched 20 league goals to help the Canaries return to the elite division, and has since bagged 6 goals in 11 Ligue 1 matches.
