Everton join Llorente race

Everton have joined the race to sign Swansea City forward Fernado Llorente, according to the Daily Star.

Chelsea have also been linked with a move to sign the Spain international as they look to add more attacking options ahead of Diego Costa’s expected exit from Stamford Bridge.

Blues boss Antonio Conte has been monitoring the thirty-two year old’s situation for several months, having worked with him for a season at Juventus where together they won the Serie A title.

Llorente moved to Swansea from Sevilla just over twelve months ago and has since racked up thirty-five appearances in all competitions, scoring fifteen goals though he is yet to feature this season as he has been recovering from a broken arm.

Paul Clement’s side failed to score in their opening two games this season, but beat Crystal Palace 2-0 at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon with goals coming from Tammy Abraham and Jordan Ayew.
