Premier League outfit Everton are reportedly hot on the trail of Sporting CP striker Islam Slimani, Sky Sports can reveal.
The Toffees appear to be preparing for life after Romelu Lukaku and they have set their sights on the Algerian hotshot.
Sky Sports has suggested that Everton are ready to offer around €23 million for the highly rated footballer in the summer transfer window.
Everything suggests that the 27-year-old will be moving to English Premier League at the end of the season considering that Tottenham, West Ham and Crystal Palace are keen as well.
Slimani has been in excellent form this season, having netted 18 times in 24 league outings, and it is hardly surprising he is being linked with a big club move.
His suitors Everton take on Chelsea in the FA Cup quarter-final next weekend and they can be backed at 11/8 to make it to the last four.
