Barcelona youngster Martin Montoya has caught the eye of Premier League outfit Everton, according to The People.
The Merseyside club seem to be preparing for life without Seamus Coleman, who is being linked with a big club move, and manager Roberto Martinez reportedly sees Montoya as a good long-term replacement.
According to The People, Everton are pondering a January bid for the highly rated defender, who is valued at £6.5 million.
Recent reports from Spain have suggested that Montoya has instructed his agent to try and engineer a move away from Camp Nou, as the 23-year-old is no longer prepared to wait for his chance having fallen behind Dani Alves and Douglas Pereira in the pecking order.
His suitors Everton sit mere two points behind Champions League positions following the 2-1 triumph over West Ham and they can be backed at 9/1 to achieve a top 4 finish this season.
