Everton join Vinagre chase

Everton have joined the race to sign Monaco left-back Ruben Vinagre, according to the Mail Online.

Arsenal and Manchester City have also been linked with a move for the Portugal U19 international, who is currently impressing on loan with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Now the Toffees have thrown their hat into the ring as they look to add competition for Leighton Baines, who is approaching his thirty-third birthday.

Vinagre moved to Molineux during the summer and has so far racked up eight appearances in all competitions for the Championship promotion hopefuls while he scored his one and only goal for the club so far in last month’s 4-0 win at Burton Albion.

He is yet to make his senior debut for his parent club for the Ligue 1 champions but signed a long-term deal with the club back in June.

He has been capped at every level from U16 to U19 for his country and was part of the squad that won the European U17 Championships last year.
