Everton keen on Bony deal

Everton manager Roberto Martinez is considering a move for Swansea City’s Wilfried Bony as he looks to line up a long term replacement for Romelu Lukaku, the Mirror understands.

Lukaku has been in fine form on loan with the Toffee’s this season with fourteen goals in all competitions, and while he has not ruled out a permanent move to Goodison Park, there is a chance he could either be recalled by Chelsea or sold elsewhere.

Bony, who took his Swansea goal-tally to twenty-three with his match-winning brace at Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon, is admired by Martinez who’s side all but secured qualification for European football next season with a 2-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday.

The victory kept them a point behind fourth place Arsenal with three games left to play, and they are now priced at 4/1 to finish in the top four for only the second time since the inception of the Premier League.
