Everton keen on acquiring Walcott

A few weeks ago we reported that Arsenal legend Ian Wright had urged Theo Walcott to leave the North London club in order to finish his career on a high, and now that opportunity may be about to present itself to the winger. According to the Express, Everton are keen on bringing Walcott to Goodison Park in order to help them score some goals this season.

The Toffees have turned their form around recently and currently sit 10th in the Premier League table, having lingered around the bottom for so long. New manager Sam Allardyce will doubtless shore up their defence, but he also needs to get the team scoring goals again.

Everton have scored 19 times this season, and given the fact that they spent over £100m in the summer, that simply isn’t good enough. The addition of Walcott could help change that, as the England international has netted over 100 goals for Arsenal in his career.
