Everton are keen on signing Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann, according to the Mirror.
Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is on the lookout for a new centre-back with Sylvain Distin having moved on to pastures new, and Liverpudlian Dann is his top target.
The Merseyside club have tabled £8m for the 28 year old, who is keen to return to the North of England, though the Eagles are holding out for around double that price.
Since moving to Selhurst Park in January 2014, he has racked up fifty-one appearances in all competitions, scoring three times.
Prior to his move to Palace, Dann spent two-and-a-half years at Blackburn Rovers, while he has also played for Birmingham City, Coventry City and Walsall.
Internationally, he has two caps for England’s U21s, though he is yet to be recognised at senior level.
Everton begin next season at home to newly promoted Watford, and can be backed at 8/11 to take all three points.
