Everton keen on Steven N’Zonzi

Premier League outfit Everton appear to be hot on the trail of Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi, according to Estadio Deportivo.

The Toffees have been somewhat short of options in the middle of the park as James McCarthy and Muhamed Besic missed the start of the season through injury, and manager Ronald Koeman clearly plans to address the problem in January.

Everton have reportedly made former Stoke City midfielder Steven N’Zonzi their number one target and they have watched him on several occasions this season.

And even tough los Rojiblancos are not keen on selling one of their prized assets, they would probably be forced to seriously consider any big money offer.

The 27-year-old has made quite an impact since arriving from Stoke City last summer, going on to make 33 league appearances for the club.

N’Zonzi also featured in seven Europa League fixtures as Sevilla went on to claim the third successive trophy in the competition.
