Everton are leading the chase to sign Arsenal forward Theo Walcott, according to the Mail Online.
The England international has barely featured for the Gunners this season with all five of his league appearances this season coming as a substitute, and has also been linked with a return to his former club Southampton.
However, it is the Merseyside club who are favourites to win the race to secure his services due to their financial superiority, with a bid expected to be tabled this month.
Walcott moved to the Emirates Stadium half way through the 2005/06 campaign and has so far racked up almost four hundred appearances for the North London outfit in all competitions, scoring one hundred and eight goals.
He has helped the club to success in the FA Cup in three of the past four seasons while internationally he has been capped forty-seven times by England, scoring eight goals.
