Everton are closing in on the signing of Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, according to the Mirror.
The Merseyside club are in pole position to secure his services, though the twenty-seven is holding out for wages of around £120,000 per week.
Tottenham Hotspur had also been linked with re-signing the Iceland international, who they sold to Swansea in the summer f of 2014.
Since then, he has racked up one hundred and twenty-eight appearances for the South Wales club in all competitions, scoring thirty-seven goals – nine of which came in the Premier League last season as his side narrowly avoided relegation.
He also made thirteen assists – a tally which was beaten only by Spurs midfielder Christian Eriksen and Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City.
Internationally he has been capped forty-nine times for his country, scoring fifteen goals and was part of their squad for last summer’s European Championships in France.
