Everton are lining up a move for out-of-favour Chelsea goalkeeping Asmir Begovic, according to the Express.
The Merseyside club are eyeing potential replacements for current first-choice shot-stopper Tim Howard, who’s future at Goodison Park is unclear.
Begovic was brought in by Chelsea as a replacement for Petr Cech, who himself secured a switch to Arsenal last summer.
He racked up twenty appearances in the first half of the season following an injury to Thibaut Courtois but has fallen down the pecking order following the Belgium international’s return to fitness.
Prior to his move to Stamford Bridge, Begovic spent six seasons at Stoke City, when he played one hundred and seventy-three times and scored a famous goal in a 1-1 draw with Southampton in November 2013.
Internationally, he has been capped forty-seven times for Bosnia and Herzegovina and played for them at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
