Everton linked with Dost move

Everton are set to make a move for Sporting Lisbon striker Bas Dost, according to ESPN.

The Merseyside outfit are desperate to add more goals to their side after managing a total of just four in the Premier League so far this season – a total which is better than just Swansea City and basement boys Crystal Palace.

Wayne Rooney is their top scorer with just two goals so someone as prolific as Dost, who has an impressive record since moving to Portugal could fit the bill.

The twenty-eight year old managed thirty-six goals in forty-one appearances in all competitions last season having signed from Wolfsburg fourteen months ago and already has a record greater than one in two so far this campaign.

Internationally he has only one goal for the Netherlands from fifteen outings, and that came in a 3-2 friendly victory over Wales back in November 2015.
