Everton have been linked with a move for Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, according to the Mail Online.
The Toffees have already brought in former Netherlands international Maarten Stekelenburg from Fulham as they look to replace Tim Howard, who has quit Goodison Park after a decade on Merseyside.
Schmeichel was one of a number of stand out players in Leicester’s side last season as they romped to the Premier League title.
The twenty-nine year old moved to the King Power Stadium from Leeds United in the summer of 2011 and has since racked up two hundred and twenty appearances for the club in all competitions.
Aswell as lifting the Premier League trophy back in May, he was part of the squad that won promotion to the top flight in 2014 while internationally he has been capped a total of twenty-two times for Denmark’s senior side.
