Everton reach Abdoulaye Doucoure agreement with Watford

Everton have reached an agreement with Watford over the signing of Abdoulaye Doucoure in the summer transfer window, according to Sky Sports. It has been reported that the Premier League club will pay the Championship side an initial transfer fee of £25 million, and there will be add-ons.

Doucoure has been given permission to discuss personal terms with the Toffees and then undergo a medical at the Merseyside outfit. Although Watford, who will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2019-20 campaign, wanted £35 million, they had to settle for an initial transfer fee of £25 million.

The 27-year-old central midfielder has been on the books of Watford since 2016 and has established himself as one of the better players in the Premier League. The former France Under-21 international will add steel to Carlo Ancelotti’s midfield and will make them better.
