According to Sport, Everton and Barcelona have come to terms on a deal that will see Yerry Mina switch the Nou Camp for Goodison Park. The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a series of different clubs around Europe, including Manchester United, but the communications between both clubs broke down which opened the door for the Toffees.
Mina will be Everton’s second signing from Barca of the window in the wake of Lucas Digne’s move, with this deal believed to be worth around €32 million. The Merseyside club certainly hasn’t been shy when it comes to spending money in recent years, and given Mina’s performances at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, it seems as if this is warranted.
The young defender joined Barcelona earlier this year from Palmeiras, where he was able to quickly establish himself as one of the most efficient and exciting young defenders that we’ve seen in the last few years.
