After a busy summer in the transfer market which saw them spend nearly £150 million, Premier League outfit Everton are ready to close the window with a deal for the 19-year-old Hajduk Split winger Nikola Vlasic.
The Croatia starlet scored 10 goals in 85 appearances for Hajduk Split since breaking into the first team three years ago, whereas it was in Europa League play-offs that the Goodison Park club noted the prospect and decided to make a move this summer.
The Croatian media report that the Toffees sent a private jet for the Croatia U-21 international who is already in Liverpool to undergo his medical checks and sign a deal on the transfer Deadline Day.
Everton and Hajduk Split have previously agreed upon a £8 million transfer which will also include a couple of add-ons, such as a £1 million if Everton manage to grab a Champions League berth next season and 10% of the future sale.
Vlasic will thus become the most expensive transfer in the history of his club, crushing the previous record held by Nikola Kalinic and his 2009 move to Blackburn Rovers worth £6 million.
