Everton set to bring in Christian Benteke

Long time Premier League top four hopefuls Everton looked at their very best last season when they had a big Belgian striker up front. Unfortunately Romelu Lukaku decided to make the move to Manchester United in the summer, which left the Toffees big Belgian striker-less.

Great news has come this week however as it looks as if the role of big Belgian striker will be filled again at Goodison Park, but this time by a certain Christian Benteke, according to the Mirror.

This big Belgian striker has been plying his trade at struggling Crystal Palace, and has been missing crucial penalties, much to the frustration of manager Roy Hodgson and the Eagles fans.

Benteke does however has a fairly impressive top flight goal scoring record, with the 2012-13 season in particular standing out as he bagged 19 league goals for Aston Villa.

Another 15 last campaign for Palace confirmed that his previous tallies weren’t flukes, and that is enough to convince Sam Allardyce, who wants to bring the big Belgian striker to Merseyside in order to end Everton’s struggles in front of goal.
