Brazilian striker Jo is likely to spend another season at Everton. The Toffees are reportedly close to signing a new deal with the player and Manchester City.

Jo joined Everton from City in January but when the loan expired at the end of the season, the forward returned to Manchester.

Everton are not able to afford a full transfer but another loan deal appears to be in the making after what is considered a successful performance in these six months. Jo played 12 games for Everton and scored five goals.

Jo gained fame playing for CSKA Moscow and City paid 18 million Pounds to secure the South American at the start of last season.
