Everton still want Zaha

According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, Premier League side Everton are still in talks with Crystal Palace over the potential signing of Wilfried Zaha. The Ivory Coast international has been heavily linked with a move away from Selhurst Park during the summer transfer window, but now that Everton have entered the conversation, it throws his potential move to Arsenal into a state of doubt. Some fans believe that Arsenal are going to wait and see what the Toffees offer, in order to make a bid of their own.

The Gunners were thrown off the scent by Palace who reacted badly to their opening bid, but now, it doesn’t seem like Arsenal are going to have to pay the aforementioned £80 million in order to sign him.

Of course, Everton could always turn around and surprise everyone by getting a deal done, but it doesn’t seem particularly likely right now.
