Everton have told striker Salomon Rondon that he is free to leave the club in the January transfer window, according to Football Insider. The Toffees repeatedly told Rondon that he could leave in the summer transfer window, but talks with Turkish clubs broke down and he is still at Goodison Park.
However, Everton manager Frank Lampard does not fancy the 33-year-old and does not have the Venezuela international striker in his plans. Rondon has fallen down the pecking order at the Merseyside club and is now free to leave.
Rondon has made one start and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Everton so far this season. The striker made eight starts and 12 substitute appearances in the league for the Toffees last season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process.
